The TRIALOG annual conference to be held on 7-8 June 2018 in Dortmund, Germany is issuing a call for papers aimed at highlighting potentially conflicting goals in the implementation and application international agreements for urban development such as the Sustainable Development Goals  and the New Urban Agenda.

Titled Resilient Urban Development versus the Right to the City? Actors, Risks and Conflicts in the Light of International Agreements (SDG and NUA) – What can the academia contribute?, the conference’s comprehensive critical review of the agreements revolve around concepts of Good Governance, the goal of a Resilient Urban Development and claims for the Right to the City, looking at issues of rapid urban growth, disaster recovery and resilience.

The target groups are researchers and practitioners on urban development both from the Global North and Global South from a wide range of disciplines.

Participants are required to send an abstract of 150-250 words by 30th March 2018 12:00 pm CET, to the conference e-mail address <trialog2018.rp@tu-dortmund.de>
