This weekend, 48H Open House Barcelona will launch its 4th edition of the festival, which invites everyone to enjoy Barcelona’s architecture by opening the doors of over 150 architecturally relevant buildings in the city.

From Roman ruins to private dwellings and contemporary skyscrapers, many visits will be guided by architects and volunteers who will explain the history and stories behind the structures. A visit to Ca la Dona, a meeting space for women and women’s groups, will be guided by our very own Sandra Bestraten, codirector of the masters program, on Saturday from 11am-1pm and 5pm-7pm. The building’s rehabilitation was carried out by the association jointly with women architects who applied innovative sustainable techniques and construction systems.
