UCLG (United Cities Local Governments) is the world organization of local and regional governments. Founded in 2004 by merging former association, UCLG is today the voice of local and regional governments in the United Nations as well as a resource of knowledge for its members. Over the last few years, the organization has also broadened services related to the city and to city cooperation, promoting the decentralized cooperation politically in the context of aid effectiveness and local ownership of development and also supporting this cooperation methodologically, providing a platform for active members and networks to build an agenda of solidarity and learning including the relevance of south to south exchange. Sara Hoeflich is responsible for the topics related to urban planning and city to city learning.

The lecture will take place at the Aula ALFA 302 in the UIC Campus: Immaculada, 22 08017 Barcelona.
