Our next open lecture will be given by La Col, a collective of architects founded in 2009 in the neighborhood of Sants in Barcelona. Titled “The architects around the corner”, the lecture will focus on their bottom-up, community-driven approach to the practice of architecture.
In their own words:
“Our studio was once a storefront, so being on the ground floor our door is never closed: we sometimes even eat or work right on the street. We think that is the best way to prove that we enjoy working for and with the people. The work we are best known for is related to social and urban environments, through which we aim to empower communities and provide solutions for building a better city.”
