Another year is coming to an end, and getting ready for 2022 for which we have many plans for MICSEA!
We will start the year with a series of great courses that cover ‘Environmental (in) justices and Urban Development with Melisa Garcia Lamarca from the Barcelona Laboratory for Urban Environmental justice and ‘Gender Space and Culture’ led by Apen Ruiz. The big highlight at the beginning of the year is that we will host the Mundus Urbano joint workshop this year on: ‘RESPONDING TO CLIMATE EMERGENCIES: ASSESSING MODELS OF TEMPORARY EVACUATION SHELTERS AND EMERGENCY RELIEF SHELTER’ in Catalunya. The workshop will have the collaboration of the Civil protection agency of Catalonia and will be coordinated by our director Carmen Mendoza-Arroyo and guest professor Architect Farzana Gandhi, who is an associate professor at NYIT.
In addition, we will continue with exciting news next year as we already have our field trip destination for march 2022, which will be Quito Ecuador! We will announce more at the beginning of next year, stay tuned!
