Our faculty member Isabelle Anguelovsky was recently interviewed on TV after receiving the National Research Prize for Young Talent, awarded by the Generalitat of Catalunya and the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation. The award includes an endowment of 10,000 Euros and is given to young researchers in recognition for their professional trajectory and the quality and excellence in their work.
A researcher at the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA) and professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona with a PhD from MIT, Isabelle specializes in issues of poverty related to and exacerbated by environmental inequalities. Her recent research has examined environmental mobilization and revitalization in low-income and minority neighborhoods across political systems and contexts of urbanization. Just last month, Isabelle conducted a workshop with our students on environmental justice.
