For 40 years, Jan Gehl of Gehl Architects has studied how the built environment can create social interaction, as well as the consequences of when it doesn’t. In The Human Scale, directed by Andreas Mol Dalsgaard, Gehl and his architectural think tank explore the side-effects of modern life and the built environment and offer a methodology for human-centered design in order to create better, happier cities.

The documentary will be showing as part of Ecumenòpolis this Monday the 21st of October at the COAC (Colegio de Arquitectos de Catalunya) at 7pm and followed by a discussion with architect and urbanist Itziar González Virós, specialized in participatory urbanism and rehabilitation.

The film will show in English with Spanish subtitles. Entrance and beer is free.
