Our next open lecture will be given by Emilio Hormías, architect and professor at UPC (Polytechnic University of Catalunya), where he develops his research on building rehabilitation and sustainability diagnosis. As partner of Bestraten-Hormias, he and Sandra Bestraten have been collaborating for over 10 years coordinating projects for Universidad sin Fronteras (“University Without Borders”), to provide social and educational amenities using low-cost technologies and involving local populations in construction and management work. Their work with USF will be the focus of their talk.
