For those working on reconstruction in Haiti, researching buildings for aid or simply studying vernacular architecture, here is a great resource created by the building designer and landscape architect Patti Stouter. As she describes in her Haiti Rewired profile, she has experience designing inexpensive buildings in Haiti and parts of Africa, and is working to improve reinforcement techniques for earthbag buildings in seismic areas, with a lot of success.

She offers up a bunch of free online resources, including her manual Haitian Wisdom for Aid Buildings which has been recommended by a number of architects, including Sergio Palleroni during his workshop at our masters course this year. Here it is below, don’t hesitate to share!
