Willy Müller, newly appointed director of the municipal agency in charge of Barcelona’s urban development and infrastructures, recently came to our masters program at ESARQ-UIC to talk to our students about the new strategy that he, along with chief architect Vicente Guallart and Antoni Vives have planned for the city during the next four years. Originally from Argentina, Willy Müller came to Barcelona at 24 years of age, establishing his own practice in 1996 and cofounding the Group Metápolis in 2000. He is director of development at IAAC (Institute for Advanced Architecture in Catalunya) and as an architect has developed an array of projects around the globe.
